You know, I have to keep pinching myself to make me believe that we really do have someone as absolutely fantastic as Rafa managing us. He is everything that you wopuld want your manager to be - tactical genius, calm, collected, seems like a really lovely bloke, and has this fantastic aura about him that even mif we are three nil down at half time you know he'll do something that turns it all around. He is without doubt the best manager in the world IMO, and the fact that we have him is almost dream like. The Rafatollah frame that gets carried around before cup finals is as close an explanation that you can get for a football manager of his calibre. He is without doubt a football genius and as God like as you could get in football circles. Just wanted to share that with you all.

Tghose of you who bumped into a jubilant Murphman on Saturday will already know this, but last Sunday I ruptured a calf muscle playing football. It's been bloody agony all week and I'm bruised from knee to ankle. I've been limping around but had three lots of physio so preseumed I'd be okay for the cup final, where I was taking my extremely excited 8 year old to his first trip to Cardiff. Saturday morning comes and my leg has seized up completely and I can hardly move it. No way I could have driven to Cardiff and then walked from whereever the car would have been parked to the ground and taken up what was by all accounts a fantastic spec for the match. I had to break the news to a distraught 8 year old at 08.00 Saturday. I swear I don't think I have ever felt so guilty and bad about anything in my life. He was okay a little later and we watched the match on TV together but I owe him one big time. Anyway, I called Murph at 08.05 and gave him the good news - he and his lad had 2 tickets to the cup final if he wanted them so at least they went to a good home (sort of ) and Murph turned up at 09.00 to collect them and give little Max a Kewell shirt handed down from his lad. I still feel crap about it now, not that I missed it coz I've been to loads of finals before and will again, but for my youngest who should have ahd a day to remember but didn't.
