Yep, I went to the Amsterdam Arena a few years ago and went round the Ajax museum. I think Rijkaard was in it too but its 4 at most. He was in my top 3 favourite players, I was thrilled when he joined, then he hurt his wrist and GH never really used him after that. Fantastic player.

Got that thanx:)

Havent seen it posted anywhere, does anyone have it? Just the pens and aftermath would be fine:)

Man he must have been a real visionary. Imagine knowing about the takeover 75 years in advance!

This is a golden opportunity to include half time "wardrobe malfunctions" to every "Regular Season" game. God I hope we make the playoffs.

Will powerplays be introduced, with one team reduced to 8 men for 2 minutes after a yellow card? Will a linesman indicate offside by throwing a flag, rather than raising one?

We will need to sign a specialist Penalty Kicker for winning games after triple overtime 0-0 ties.

I hope im first to get our new Jersey.

When do we start having "Liverpool Reds" printed on the club crest? Or are we a franchise now? Im confused

I will be looking forward to Stevie G referring to "Coach Benitez" in all forthcoming interviews. Also obviously playing positions will be reduced to just 3: The "Goalie" The Defender The Striker Of course, a striker is anyone who plays in midfield or further forward.

Wasnt it amazing how Wenger scraped into 4th on the last day yet getting to the CL final made that ok, whereas Rafa wins the damn thing yet 5th place is unacceptable. There seems to be a hidden agenda in the media to bring him down I think, after we beat Bolton all was sweetness and light, yet 2 cup losses and youd think we were 17th in the league!

Yeah yeah I know but my point still stands, it was "only" an example

What gets me is that Rafa is routinely panned in the media while Martin Jol for instance is said to be doing a great job despite not having won a sausage and Spurs being no closer to the top 4 than when he arrived. You can bet that had it been us that dipped out of 4th last season in the last game Rafa would have been flogged mercilessly in the press. I dont understand the kneejerk reaction here as soon as we have a loss, granted it was pretty embarrassing but every manager has to swallow a result like that at some point, Wenger 6-1 at OT, Slur Alex 6-3 v Soton and 5-0 v Newcy just some examples. Rafa is a top manager, hes a top man and he is bringing better times to LFC, im sure of it.

According to LFC History Ian Callaghan made his 1st team Debut 16 April 1960, Billy Liddell's last game for LFC was a 1-0 loss to Southampton at Anfield on 31 August 1960 so theres every chance they were in the same team.

ANywhere online to listen to the game?

Plenty of pressure on Rooney this season with no RVN. I reckon they wont get enough goals, although they will probably be defensively sound. Any injuries and they are up the creek....

Looks like it, Sly reporting medical expected today. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...ds+to+land+Kuyt Reds to land Kuyt By Peter ORourke - Created on 17 Aug 2006 Liverpool are believed to be close to clinching the signing of Dutch international Dirk Kuyt. Reports emanating from Holland claim Liverpool have won the race for the Feyenoord striker. The Reds are believed to have beaten Newcastle to the punch for Kuyt even though Magpies boss Glenn Roeder was in Dublin on Wednesday to watch the payer in action for Holland. Kuyt's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with a number of top clubs across Europe expressing an interest in signing him. Liverpool are reported to have agreed a fee with Feyenoord for Kuyt and the Dutch club have given them permission to open talks with the prolific forward. Kuyt is expected to arrive on Merseyside on Thursday to open talks and undergo a medical. The former Utrecht man has hinted that he is close to sealing a move with Liverpool his preferred destination. "There are a few clubs interested - but only one is my dream club," Kuyt told Sky Sports News. "I don't want to say anything about that - but I think we can say more in a few days." Liverpool could offer Dutch defender Jan Kromkamp as a makeweight in the deal with the player seemingly surplus to requirements to Anfield. The FA Cup holders could also help fund the deal by selling Florent Sinama Pongolle to Lyon. Lyon boss Gerard Houllier is a big fan of Pongolle having signed him when he was in charge of Liverpool and is considering bringing him back to France.
