A brave move to raise awareness. Hodgson was a victim of circumstance at Liverpool. If he had arrived a year later under FSG who knows what he may have achieved. The vile abuse he suffered is a stain on our history.

His best years are self-evidently behind him but almost all us would acknowledge that he would be scoring and contributing more under a better coach. Why fixate on individual performances when team is broken, and the coach is a subhuman slaphead.

I actually think I was more interested in watching us under Hodgson, because there was then at least the hope and expectation that he would be sacked after one bad result too many. There’s no end in sight here, this appalling slaphead could still be coach this time next year.
