  1. Exactly, if someone's being written off, it's Sami.
  2. Let's hope he won't be treated like a dog.
  3. Yeah, but if you blinked you would have missed his Inter exploits. Arshavin wins this debate hands down, IMHO, but Keane could be more useful for us at this point.
  4. That's a possibility for sure. I'm confident all our players can do the job when they are picked. Sami is a good professional, no? He trains hard and he's popular among the supporters, no? Of course, it depends on his form and the form of the other players. But it is a good problem,no? Also the opponent is very important. Sometimes we have to pick a faster player, sometimes a taller player, but It's good to have possibilities!
  5. I'd rephrase that "We've three quality centre backs now and a legend to compliment..." Writing off Sami has been way off the mark the past three seasons. He was better than Carra last season.

He was never going to leave Bayern, anyway, just wanted a raise. I don't he'd cope in the English game, he's too small (add the desired smiley here)
  7. Translators rule!

That didn't stop Rafa picking him for The FA Cup Final starting line-up. Rafa must have been drunk.
  9. Sorry... But since I'm a translator myself (albeit not a special one), I know how seldom we get thanks for our efforts.
  10. A very interesting read indeed. Kudos to the translator!

Ameobi? Isn't he still at Newcastle, or..?
  12. But on the other leg, you couldn't kick at all... OK, just the once, in Barcelona.

  14. Might as well rename this thread "Transfer thread, part b****x"... I mean, someone has a good game (or two) at the Euros Champs and immediately this thread is full of suggestions of buying them. The same phenomenon on the BBC site today: "Arshavin is Premier League class"... As for Zenit's chances in the CL, of course they won't win it next season, but in my book it represents ambition to try and have a proper crack at it and prove the doubters wrong. Porto won it not so long ago and Greece won the Euros not long ago... countrys with 'minor leagues'.
  15. Which is also a perfectly valid reason to stay in one's hometown team. First the UEFA Cup and then the CL... He's 27, I'm sure there already have been opportunities to head west I guess we'll see...
  16. I think he might find better players headed his way in the future.
  17. Why would Arshavin be interested in a move anywhere? He's playing for a team that won the UEFA Cup, there's loads of money in Russian footie nowadays, so he's earning really well in familiar surroundings.

  20. He always wants to play in red? Due to the gingerness?
  21. ...but, but he plays regularly in the Bundesliga... isn't that a big no-no?
  22. My local paper here in Finland (second largest daily) ran a story this morning: "Villa wants to move to Liverpool"

  24. I personally took his bandage on his fingers as a big hint. Why? It was red!
  25. All this talk about his price suddenly going up after yesterday's match is nonsense. As if Villa was someone unknown who suddenly burst on to the scene out of the blue. Everyone knows his quality by now, even I... Yesss, I have him in my fantasy Euro team!
