So it's still saying that Friends & Family need to be members and I can't see any way of getting free membership???

I emailed the club and the reply I got was that F&F do not need to be members. I am concerned that the number of F&F you are allowed to nominate will get reduced over the next few years and/or the number of games you're allowed to give to F&F? As far as the app goes, my Dad doesn't have a phone that is up to date enough and they said they will contact people like him nearer the time, maybe they get to keep a card ticket?

Presuming there is a small patch of earth to plant something, I'd go for Jasmine - will grow very quickly and flowers in the summer. Get it planted now and you'll be fine. Or you can get evergreen clematis, honeysuckle or passion flowers, all good quick climbers?

Just finished Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes, the best book I've read on the Vietnam War. This is a gem - Atlas of Remote Islands: Fifty Islands I Have Not Visited and Never Will by Judith Schalansky. Next up is Jerusalem by Simon Sebag Montefiore

Blimey, that's a blast from the past. I was at Uni in Birmingham, so when we needed a change from Wobble, Baker's or the Institute, we'd get a coach sorted to Venus. Had some very messy nights in there. Happy days....
