  1. The same pr*ck who scored the winning goal against Barcelona this week? Your other "contribution" to this thread is a stupid dig at Fowler. Jeez, either your cat died or you're one of Peter Evo's favourite people

    Momo

    LOL waits for the bandwagon
  3. Fowler, Dudek & Zenden released. Cisse, Pongolle, Le Tallec sold. Paletta loaned. Why would we sell Kewell - with his injury record we would get bugger all and when he's fit he's still the best left sided player at the club. Hyypia, Garcia & Crouch may be sold if they don't accept that they are benchwarmers/supersubs. Riise & Bellamy are going nowhere
  4. He looked a bit over-awed last night but he's a class player in his 1st year at the club and playing at this level for the first time so it's understandable. I think we do have a problem with self-confidence - the players need to believe in themselves more - but results like this breed confidence both in the team and the supporters.

    Sky

It's getting beyond a joke now, the standard of commentary is so p*ss poor and constantly follows their pre-set agenda ie Benitez clueless, rotation, Gerrard one-man team, unhappy, played out of position, Bellamy = troublemaker, x points behind Mancs/Chelsea therefore we have no chance in Europe blah blah f***ing blah. The ONLY thing detracting from our brilliant performance last night was having to yell at those prize pr*x for their f***-up biased horsesh*t Is there a link to sky to complain about their shocking bias?
  6. Rafa must really rate Arbeloa if he selects him for our most important game of the season. Our bench will be very strong - Dudek Bellamy, Crouch, Pennant, Hyypia, Gonzalez, Mascherano.
  7. ----------------------Reina--------------------- Finnan--------Carra----------Agger-------Aurelio Pennant-----Alonso----Gerrard-----Sissoko----Gonzalez --------------------------Kuyt----------------------------- Catch them on the break with the pace of our wide men, Stevie given licence to roam.
  8. That's my morning gone. Need 2 tickets together and can't do it over the internet with 2 separate fan cards so will have to press redial skatey eight thousand times.

    Adam Hamill

Vaughan's a liverpool fan, took him to the liverpool derby a few years back when he was a lad, the one where robbie did the sniffing thing and gerrard cleared off the line..... he's at everton now though! I hope Hamilll makes it big though, hes just the kind of player we need in the first team at times, a bit of a game breaker moment of magic we need. Good to hear he's doing well up in Scotland. I'd echo the same idea that we should try to loan out some of the other promising academy players who play in the stiffs, like Anderson, maybe Peltier, Lindfield and Guthrie.
  10. While we're at it, why don't we also reiterate that they are not fans nor are they philanthropists.
  11. They are hardly likely to say the wrong things at this point are they? Especially when they need the other 40% shareholders to sell to them. Still think we have missed the best opportunity we will ever have to secure our finances for good. All this revisionism around here because of a few soundbites would be funny if it wasn't so serious for this club.
  12. I give up. So Stevie G & Carra don't give a sh*t about winning trophies, all they want is more cash, cash, cash. And all Rafa wants is to bring in cheap foreign imports he can work on. Don't you think there is just a tiny chance that the manager & his best players have higher aspirations?
  13. You have been spoon-fed too much Sky TV. If you want facts, our 18 titles were all called "championships". Maybe I should have stated we gave a "premiership-winning" performance just for the pedantic few on here but who cares FFS? Dumb one-liners just to show how superior the poster is are ruining this forum. IMO like.
  14. West Ham? Killed their season. The whole club presumed the takeover was going ahead until Wed morning. Many of the players and the manager talked openly about it. And you don't think it makes any difference at all?
  15. Reckon you are about 140 degrees and counting towards your latest U turn. By 8am you should be solidly behind the Gillett-Hicks axis being great for us and those nasty DIC people were gonna rape & pillage us. No offence fyds but you do have previous
  16. Before anyone goes on about them being professionals and well paid to play football blah blah, take a look at West Ham this season following their early season change of ownership saga. It seemed at times that they felt they had an excuse to play sh*te and that's human nature for you. We are on a fantastic run and hit a high point on Tuesday night after a difficult but dare I say it, a championship winning performance in grinding out a result to move within 2 points of 2nd and maybe in contention for the title. With the prospect of players coming in the following day in particular the highly regarded Javier Mascherano, and the imminent completion of the DIC investment everything was looking very very optimistic for the whole club, not least Rafa and the senior players. Next day, DIC pull out and both Manu & Chelsea win easily. F***. Now what? Will there be a negative reaction? It's down to Rafa to keep the players on their toes and focused but what about him? He must be thinking deep down that the board have f***ed up and bang goes my transfer kitty in the summer, I'll be back to scratching around for bargains. We'll see on Saturday I guess but if they are not up for it and the crowd are also distracted by the boardroom turmoil, the bluesh*te will sure as hell boot us all over the pitch.
  17. The 7 year thing is one of the daftest accusations to throw at DIC. Anyone who has any experience of a buy-out knows that one of the boxes you have to tick is an exit strategy ie if everything goes t*ts up (eg if the dubai oil runs out in 7 years) how do you recover your investment? It's standard practice - no business plan or report to a board on a major acquisition is complete without an explanation of an exit route and most are for periods less than 7 years. This doesn't mean your entire strategy is based on selling out in 7 years. That's laughable, yet so many people seem to have been persuaded (by the self-styled financial gurus on this forum) that DIC were short-termists. The 12 hour deadline is hardly surprising either after DIC spent months on due diligence then found that Moores was gazumping them. I tend to think that this poll is targeted at the wrong guy - Parry isn't the one who has blown this unique opportunity to secure the future of LFC in favour of a few more sheckles in his back pocket, he's just the one who has to put a spin on arguably the worst decision any chairman of this mighty club has ever made.
  18. One thing I don't understand. DIC are one of the wealthiest blue chip investors you could imagine so that was a no-brainer. But the alternative is Gillett. Who is older than Moores and in the same wealth bracket. So why doesn't Moores adopt the same strategy as Gillett? ie fund the stadium with debt secured against the club. I can't see why Moores would need to sell to someone with no more money or resources. Unless he just wants the cash I suppose, but Rick keeps on saying that's not his motivation.
  19. So DIC have no real wealth and Gillett is a solvent billionaire. Ian Cotton couldn't get away with that much spin
  20. Just to make things worse Expect Newcastle to be the next port of call for DIC, who are still keen to buy a Premiership club. It has emerged that the cost of funding a new stadium at Liverpool, which would have cost them a minimum of £215million, was one of the main sticking points in their proposed £450m deal. Buying Newcastle would be a lot cheaper, with a modern ground in place and the Hall family desperate to sell their shares. Only the firm opposition of chairman Freddy Shepherd, the other major shareholder, prevented the club being sold for £227m to American hedge fund Polygon, backed by the United Bank of Switzerland, before Christmas. Daily Mail
  21. Clutching at straws but that whole statement doesn't seem like the door has been firmly closed. Much more like we have made our final offer, take it or leave it. Ditto the .tv statement. Noted the DIC announcement and a decision will be made in a few days.
  22. Hope that's a joke. DIC don't need to be 2-faced opportunists ffs. They have mega money to invest in the right product. Gillett has gone bust twice and is now using his "cunning" to buy us. Who is the best partner?
  23. The biggest decision in the club"s history - and they decide to leave it for a few days. What the f*** have they done. This could really go t*ts up from here
  24. I was pretty nervous about last night's game. We have a bit of a history of following a great win over a rival with a bad result eg remember going to Coventry after we beat Newcastle 4-3 in last minute and got beat 1-0 in an awful performance. Huge 3 pts.
  25. Reckon this is more to do with granada who don't give a cr*p who buys the club they just want top dollar. Their 10% makes them easily the 2nd largest shareholder, the rest of the board have diddlysquat shares and the quotes coming out of anfield & parry last week suggest moores is keen on DIC come whay may.
