Thats unfair. RAWK is slow tonight so I came on here. In any case its better to talk about a bad defeat then just go around back slapping when we have a good win. For what its worth, I stand by Rafa's team selection and all that tonight but there were some shocking peformances out there. Not one player acquitted himself with the pride they should have in the Red shirt. Rafa was spot on to apologise to the supporters for that performance.

Well I'm a diehard Liverpool fan actually physically sick after that performance, I'll probably stay in bed for the next three days. That to me is a bad night as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't give up supporting this club for the world but nights like this are just awful.

Wanted Benitez or Mourinho, glad we got the right man because I'm not so sure how Mourinho would have coped with us without the budget of Chelsea. I know people point to his Porto days but come on the Portuguese league isn't hard to win and they won the CL through sheer efficency and defensive solidity and without having to beat any truly great sides.

Think Hyypia is gradually going to fall back into the Hamann role in that he'll be used mainly as a sub as the season progresses. Thats my view anyway.

A number of things: The Hype A slow start which will bugger us altogether as it did last season And basically the mental block, in that we've not won for 17 years, you just get to a point where it looks like it'll never happen.

Not worried by Rafa's selections anymore. Dropping half the first team against Real Betis away last season and winning comfortably saw to that.

Gonzalez looks like he'll need a few months to adapt, gave the ball away a good bit today but there were some bright moments like the ball into the box that nearly led to the second just before Chelsea equalised. He'll definitely succeed at this club.

Saw him in the departures area of Manchester airport on the way to Istanbul, was getting a good sing song going, seems like a decent fella...

I think Rafa and Steve developed a friendship during Rafa's year out of football when he was learning coaching methods at Man U, Milan etc...Or at least thats what I read somewhere.

Steve Finnan? And from what I hear Barragan is a top prospect so I think we'll be ok in that department. Can't see the reasoning in selling him to be honest unless it is personal problems as many have suggested on here but I won't lose any sleep over it.

Was thinking that myself. I mean we are probably only looking at about four first team players arriving that will be involved with the first team on a regular basis next season in my view. The rest will replace some of the youngsters released this summer maybe.

Riise should have tracked the run of Aaron Hughes. That said he's no scapegoat, not when there's Traore. It does beg the question though when Traore leaves who are we left with to have a go at? Josemi, Smicer, Biscan all gone.....
