  1. Cisse's touch
  2. oh and they're just as randy 3 times in 12 minutes
  3. why are liverpool like redheads ? ... there's always drama !
  4. before everyone blames cisse and Crouch, I would draw your attention to the lack of midfield and defense Pongolle !!
  5. I think if Bolanos impresses we'll wait till the summer before getting the all important 2nd RW Come the Summer, we'll see if Pennant can keep himself dry and maintain his good performances. If Birmingham go down he could cost less too
  6. Treble winnners or European champions hard call I think in the end I'll take treble winners FOR NOW, I hope the future will make me pick European champions as that will be the moment liverpool started their resurgence and ended up winning the premier league and retaining the european cup. But for now the Treble as despite the fact they were cups they showed the ability to consistently win trophies something we have yet to prove For the record I think the treble season summed up houllier, we were the best Cup team in the world and now we are changing into a league team, they are different beasts IMHO
  7. so 2001 and 2002 weren't good years then ?
  8. Jermaine Pennant to join champions elite? blues badge blues badge By Todd Grainger - January 1 2006 Liverpool to bid for Birmingham star, Jermaine Pennant who joined the blues from arsenal in the summer, is supposedly the subject of a bid from liverpool. Liverpool who are currently flying high in 3rd place of the premiership are set to snatch up birminghams summer signing of jermaine pennant, as reports suggest :- Liverpool are ready to make a move for Birmingham City winger Jermaine Pennant, according to reports. With Rafa Benitez stepping up the search for a right winger in the new year, Pennant could be an alternative to Benfica wideman Simao Sabrosa. It is understood that Simao won't be sold in the new year and Benitez could favour a move for the England U21 international. Jermaine who is highly rated by the fans and club alike, is likely to favor a move to the champions as his birmingham career has exactly started with a bang! also reports suggest that Colin Doyle recently recalled by birmingham could be returnung to the new den in the new year :- New Millwall Director of Football Colin Lee is hopeful that goalkeeper Colin Doyle can return to the New Den for another loan stay in the New Year. Doyle played four Coca-Cola Championship games for the Lions before being recalled by Birmingham City before Christmas. But with Birmingham first-choice Nico Vaesen available once more after a ban, and Maik Taylor more than adequate cover, Doyle will be out on a limb once more. Lee, who moved upstairs from team manager to a director role on December 21st, said: ?We should be able to get Colin on two seven-day ?emergency? loan deals to take us through to January. ?We will try to secure a deal so he can stay for the rest of the season. Colin has done fantastically in his four games for us. ?Birmingham rate him highly, and at some stage he will have to decide whether he wants to be part of a Premiership club - but he is not at that juncture yet.? 9. I remember hearing about Prieto too, This should be interesting
  10. Liverpool - Spanish swap deal claim 29 Dec 2005 15:51 Reports in Spain claim that Liverpool are in discussions with Villarreal over a defender swap deal that will see Jan Kromkamp move to Anfield with Josemi moving the other way. Kromkamp has failed to settle at El Madrigal following his summer move from AZ Alkmaar, finding it difficult to establish himself in the first team ahead of Javi Venta. Josemi has long been rumoured to be leaving Anfield in the New Year, with Sevilla having been the most likely destination. However, that move appeared to be breaking down due to the Spanish club's reluctance to meet the asking-price and boss Rafael Benitez' desire to have a ready-made replacement. Therefore, this swap deal would suit all parties, with Kronkamp hoping that the move would boost his chances of being included in Holland's squad for the forthcoming World Cup. link
  11. In general I tend to love your posts, and this is no different. Ive seen Cisse while at Auxerre, and he was more a Collymore player - could score out of very little and was WAY WAY WAY better than Droba, at Liverpool he's been a pale shadow of the Auxerre player. After the last few games Ive been more a positive about Djbril being able to adapt enough to persuade Rafa to keep him. His passing was good as was his ball retention, these are improving rapidly along with his touch, areas that still need to be worked on are his movement, his closing down, and his aggression when playing against CH's All in all Cisse has such huge potential I would love for him to stay here and deliver on it at Anfield or Stanley Park
  12. Happy New Year Yummy !! and any new on Andrade to us ?
  13. dont worry the goal he scored last night will go down as robinson's
  14. hope he continues improving, at this rate he could definately offer us something special. Maybe during the world cup he should room with Henry and continue taking his advice
  15. that's it, I'm off to put a bet on Le Tallec scoring the winner
  16. Cisse's game today showed many signs of improvement, his ball retention was very good, his anticipation of crouches 2ndary balls was good too, I was impressed with his passing, it was all excellent and to a man - except for one attempted cross to crouch. there wasnt any great vision but all in all the ball was retained and used well. I was particularly impressed with one cross field ball to warnock His finish was good, beat a defender for control and touch and then calmly placed the ball, now if he could do that while running at speed past say 2-3 players and finish or deliver and excellent cross ok, maybe I'm asking too much too soon. But you cannot ignore the improvement in Cisse over the last few games, if we cannot get a better striker come this summer ( and it could be difficult it being world cup year) Cisse could stay especially if the rate of improvement continues
  17. he's improving, but is it enough ? his passing was good today, and he retained the ball well, but his movement was still below par
  18. table looks promising link
  19. wonder if the reason is its a derby or because its Warnock there ?
  20. how do you do that ? you just have to tell me what equipment do you have ?
  21. despite that Cisse could have scored 3 ! Cisse needs to drift out right if Gerrard is going to roam so much
  22. This game is crying out for old heads and discipline - I think Hamman and maybe Riise would be a good move
  23. is correct , or so it would seem
  24. never heard of reading in stereo before
  25. That would make me very happy
