  1. I'd love to see Harvey start the game but I can see Jurgen keeping the same midfield.
  2. Ali is so great, had he been in goal, I feel he would have at least gotten a hand on it.
  3. Best keeper 1 v 1 I've seen in my lifetime.
  4. The bookie's odds mean f*** all when you look at some of those names.
  5. Will be a really difficult game. Ibou being back will help in dealing with Toney, hopefully Gomez is over his illness by then with Trent now out and Bradley probably still away. Jurgen was saying in his post match presser that Gravenberch felt something in the warm up, so we really are thin in midfield completely again. If Mo manages to be back as well, that would help greatly.
  6. He won't get the job, because he's either not interested or we're not interested for X reasons, otherwise his video and statement about leaving would have been pointless. Ljinders is a good coach and tactician by all accounts, but being a manager is far different, and his last stint as a manager went horribly wrong. Being a good manager requires a certain personality as well, and I don't think he has it at this moment in time
  7. Harvey was sensational and the biggest key to us winning that in the 2nd half. Midfield was better in the second half as well, Macca got on the ball more and Endo did better. Still gave two chances away to them, where they could have scored, but take the points and run, another win is all that matters. Hopefully Trent isn't seriously injured, I love him to death, but hsi defending was non existent in that first half. He's never been the best defender, but f*** me he looks devoid of energy at times when facing players one on one. The atmosphere was also s***, Jurgens song fizzled out like a fart, we weren't even singing properly when we were winning, weird day.
  8. We gotta get that fella to let Jurgen and the club know his secrets
  9. I was seriously considering giving up on football all together. THe only time in my life I hated the sport, he made it torturous
  10. I'm sure for Jurgen one of the highlights of not managing in England again will be not dealing with Kyle and his absolute stupid questions
  11. Jurgen saying Dom is running but not ready for tomorrow Bradley will not play, still with his family. Flu in the squad, some may not be available [he didn't mention Gomez but he wasnt pictured in training yesterday]
  12. Remember seeing Lallana come on for Brighton and then being replaced within 10 minutes because he got injured.
  13. Soft as in mentally because that's what I'm interpreting it as anytime someone criticizes a player for being injury prone. I could be wrong, and they could be just referring to soft tissue, but it doesn't appear to be the case from what I'm reading on here and elsewhere with other players who have been labeled the same way.
  14. Clearly not doing what you're doing in life, no coughs and all
  15. I wouldn't have him over either Ronaldo or Suarez in that scenario, the rest i agree.
  16. People get defensive because it's a weird comparison and just a way to criticize a player for something that has nothing to do with them being soft or not doing enough to be fit. Its a lazy argument, its a lazy criticism.
  17. Right so you brought up not being sick to compare a non contact injury pertaining to a player? Comparing what you do personally in your life, to what an athlete has to do, while performing [something you don't do] is essentially comparing apples and oranges. Non contact injuries aren't a case of ''X player doesnt' take care of himself'' therefore he's not doing enough to prevent injuries. There are tons of players who have all the best physicians/medical people in general provided to them, and still have injuries, it's not because they didn't take care of themselves It's nonsense
  18. What's the correlation between not being sick to being injured as a professional athlete? Am I missing something?
  19. Muller-Wohlfahrt again touched on the clash with Guardiola which led to his departure in the aftermath of a Champions League quarterfinal defeat at Porto in 2015. "I had been at Bayern for 38 years without any problems," the 75-year-old said. "And suddenly a 44-year-old coach joins, someone who has not walked this earth for much longer than I had been Bayern team doc, someone who knows everything, who suddenly puts pressure on and accuses me that an injury layoff after a severe ligament injury takes six to seven weeks rather than four weeks like in Spain." Asked whether that meant there were doctors with other treatments in Spain, Muller-Wohlfahrt said: "I don't have any insight into their work. "Thiago [Alcantara] once returned from Spain after four weeks, seemingly fit. But when I examined him, I said: 'Stop! The injury has not healed completely, even though you are pain-free.' "Guardiola still allowed him to train. Thiago got injured again and went on to miss a full year."
  20. Just had a Fabio Aurelio flashback
  21. Echo suggesting Mo could be make the bench at least
  22. Or unlucky, either way that has nothing to do with someone being soft. You're quick to dismiss them not being a precursor to other injuries, when there's plenty of studies out there showing that knee injuries lead to other problems with the lower body and hips [which ironically has kept him out for 10 months].
  23. Having 4 knee ligament injuries at the start of your career has nothing to do with softness.
  24. Don't have much of a choice now, Thiago and Dom out. Endo Macca Jones, with Eliott and Ryan on the bench, hopefully Dom isn't out for too long.
