Hard to do that if the man himself hasn't let everyone else know, leaks are impossible to stop in most cases. They gave him the time to do it in his own way.

If you listen and read what he said, its completely rational from his perspective. He's earned the right to do it on his terms. League position has nothing to do with something that has an impact on the club long standing, and the people working with and under him. If anything it's giving us more time to find a replacement rather than doing it in the summer before the season starts.

There's more to it than just that. Otherwise we'd have Mourinho years back.

Well I imagine it would be difficult to try to get someone during that time, while Klopp hadn't announced it yet. It's not exactly last minute.

Of course, but we weren't in a position like this when we hired Houllier, coming off a manager who had a style of play, won everything, and our immediate successor was the exact opposite.

Telegraph reporting there is no successor at this moment, club wants to hire sporting director first.

With all due respect, going from Klopps football to Houlliers/Simeone's is like trading a Ferrari for a Toyota.

Klopp presser in 30 mins.

Simeones style of football is everything we aren't. I can't see it

I can't either, honestly not one manager is out there with a proven record, but also that fits the club. Naggelsman was mentioned in this thread, but the man's personality is so toxic, he's got nothing about it him that makes him a Liverpool manager. Alonso may go on to win something at the end of the season, who knows, his football does excite me but when we sacked Rodgers, I wanted Klopp, it was a perfect fit and I always thought he would be poached by Arsenal when Wenger leaves/gets sacked. Couldn't believe it when we got him, and equally shocked that he's leaving.

I like Alonso but he's won fck all, same with De Zerbi, managing this club is a whole different level and none of them, were at a stage like Jurgen was when he became manager, a proven manager elsewhere, ready to take the reigns.

The game against Norwich can't come quick enough now

De Zerbi and Alonso are the only ones stylistically that make sense. Naigglesman is everything a Liverpool manager shouldn't be.

Every game at Anfield should be roaring until the end of May. One last dance.

I don't think he would have signed his extension recently. Theres always going to be speculation but I think him announcing it now, he wanted to control the situation as best as possible, because imagine he left at the end, and we failed to win something, it would have been even more devestating if that makes more sense

Couldn't believe what I read, and had to read it several times before it sunk in. Seeing his interview, makes me understand him more, he's a 100000 percent all in person, and if he's drained, and not feeling at his best to do this for more years to come, you can only imagine how tired he is emotionally. Gave me some of the greatest moments as a Liverpool supporter, some of them in life in general, let alone football moments, couldn't have asked for more, couldn't have dreamed of more, a goliath in every sense of the word. I dont want to think about the next manager, and I wont care until the summer, right now I just want to enjoy this last hurrah with Kloppo and the lads, as best as possible. And I hope we do it on a high, with a parade one way or another.

There's so many games for us to play so I imagine he and Robbo will rotate an even amount, I also think with Robbo back it opens the opportunity for Joe to play elsewhere if we need [RB or CB], so he'll get plenty of minutes one way or another. It never hurts to have players who get the job done well in multiple positions.

Personally think he's been just as good as a rb this year when he's played there.

One of his best seasons, if not the best since he's been at the club, more so because he's had to play in numerous positions and has done it at a top level. Just stay fit

What a time to be a red, like the banner says ''Imagine being us ''

Plus technically Alli hasn't played in the cup final before, so I imagine hed want that experience

Darwin was great as well, his presence really causes problems non stop, as soon as he was off, we lost that threat

Macca was great again, lost control once he came off.

Should be more than fine by then, Robbo,Trent and Dom are probably fit by next week.

I honestly wouldn't. Has looked shaky in every match hes played this season
