  1. Think Diaz is set to start given Gakpo started yesterday, and Diaz came on as a sub.

    Joe Gomez

I wouldn't at the moment, Konate is playing really well, has the physicality and speed as well that helps us. Gomez can certainly do a job, but his form as a fullback this year has been top notch and we should keep him there, because it also helps us massively, he has the pace to keep up with a lot of players one on one there.
  3. Yeah no need to rush him, Gomez has been sensational anyway
  4. of course the one time Egypt are out early, Mo gets injured. Oh well, hopefully he's not out for too long
  5. I'm agreeing with you Swipe, Paul is just a miserable sod
  6. The Times : It was telling, in the video he recorded for supporters, that Klopp, 56, spoke of finding ways to explain his decision to his wife, Ulla. She loves Merseyside and their life in the coastal village of Formby and persuaded him to stay when he was close to quitting midway through last season. Fatigued and mindful of his health, Klopp found 2022-23 a “dog year”, as he put it in his press conference on Friday. He needed to rebuild his team, especially its midfield, and was fed up with the relentless schedule and noise. Among experiences that disillusioned him was one where, during Liverpool’s defeat at Old Trafford in August, a Liverpool fan stood behind Ulla yelling negatives about him throughout the game.
  7. We're overdue a win in the league against them, I really hope we continue our form. I imagine Gomez will stay at LB while Robbo gets more minutes under his belt, but expecting Trent to be straight back in. Klopp mentioned that Macca had a niggle in the last match but that he should be ok for Wednesday. Curtis and Szobo in midfield along with him, and Diaz,Darwin and Jota up front.
  8. What he said
  9. Bradley getting a chance reminds me very much of Trent when Clyne went out injured. We're blessed with great lads and talent
  10. Could have been 8 and it wouldn't be undeserved. Fantastic, whilst playing in 2nd gear. I can't get enough of this side, but seeing Kloppo there in the end, making the heart with his hand, f*** me this is going to be emotional all the way until the end
  11. Yeah no CL with Klopp is a massive disappointment for me, would loved another run and chance to win Big Ears with him one last time
  12. Is there a multiverse we can go to where Klopp will still be our manager
  13. Perhaps he isn't but taking a job you know you're not ready for, can't lead to anything good overall. Failure at a top club could derail his aspirations down the line even more so, look at Gerrard.
  14. Yes. Don't think the CL has anything to do with it, he's genuinely burned out, and his example of being a top sports car, but only him being able to see that he's running out of fuel is the best summary of the situation.
  15. - He could be fairly objective and realistic about his current abilities as a coach and manager, and whether or not he would be able to take over. As mentioned before, he was a complete failure in his last managerial stint before he came back to us as Jurgen's assistant. More than anyone, he knows what it takes to motivate the players, lead them, and prepare all other aspects on a day to day basis. More so, he'd be replacing one of the greatest and most influential people in the club's history, thats a huge task, and brings endless amounts of pressure.
  16. Feels like an eternity ago when we had someone else but Klopp as manager. I'm disappointed we won't have him for just one more CL campaign.
  17. It's not true, Jurgen even addressed Jose Enrique in the press conference
  18. Yeah I agree, the time between him announcing it end of season and start of new season would have been more difficult than this is already going to be.
  19. Or he genuinely doesn't want the job or the club didn't want to go in that direction. Joyce saying Alonso is a candidate
  20. Stevie Warnock?
  21. That's another thing I forgot to mention, Houllier as defensive as he was, never coached players into cheating and diving, using every dirty trick in the book. Simeone does exactly that
  22. I believe they were told today
  23. Trent,Robbo,Kostas,Szobo,Thiago, all pictured in training today
  24. I don't think he has the personality and the leadership to take over Jurgen, tactically sure, but everything else I don't believe so. Dont forget when he went to Holland to be a manager, it went t*** up completely before he came back to be Jurgen's #2
  25. Mentioned Jose Enrique and said hes basically talking nonsense "No other English Club ever! Even if I have nothing to eat"
