  1. Yeah stretching them properly has made a massive difference. Robbo and Harvey have done their part well in that
  2. This team will age me 30 years by the time the season is over
  3. I don't know what the thinking is behind it, usually our subs are spot on, this is a mess.
  4. Idk how Gomez is still on the pitch while Mo was taken out.
  5. Our stupidity at times has no bounds Looks terrible that tackle on Konate
  6. THis shooting nonsense with Joe is really getting tedious
  7. I'm sure they'll be denfeding for their lives on Sunday, the rats
  8. Gomez himself is not the issue, it could be anyone else, but inverting him is not effective right now. There are too many bodies in the center of the pitch, and we need to stretch them. That aside though, even if we stopped doing that with him, he's not efficient overlapping on the left, he's better with that on the right.
  9. Ryan is too timid, he needs to be more assertive and aggressive on and off the ball. Bags of potential
  10. Inverting Gomez for this match is pointless. He's not good at overlapping on the left like he is on the right, and it's making us more predictable on the left as he's always cutting inside, and leaving more for Diaz to do. With an overlap, you can shift the defenders better. Dom has a tendency to do one move too much, release the ball quicker. Mo needs to get more involved in the game.
  11. Trent is back in team training next week, Ali potentially as well, if not next week then week after
  12. I think Jurgen wants us in rhythm as much as possible going into the Manc game and the week to follow
  13. Sporting won their first league title in 19 years under him, has a chance to do it again this year, won domestic cups as well. Similar pressing and aggression in his side compared to us, has worked with young talent and dealt with losing his best players and bouncing back from that. A lot of positive feedback about his leadership and personality within his side from his players or coaches who have had interactions with him
  14. No chance he's top 3 in the world, in my view. Salah has to be considered, he's got 22 goals and 12 assists in 33 appearances. In comparison Foden has 21 and 10, in 43. Usually I wouldn't put much stock in Mbappe's numbers in France compared to other leagues, but he's carying them all year. They don't have a single player in double digits in goals score aside from him, and it's not even close [He has 30 goals in 33 matches, 6 of which are in the CL] Their next best players have 7 goals to their name each. Vinicious has been injured for a chunk of the season, but he's numbers are fairly good in the time he's played as well.
  15. In his position or overall? In any case, no, not even close. He's not the best player in the league let alone the world.
  16. David Ornstein My most recent information is that he is very much the frame for Liverpool - not Barcelona - and conversations have taken place. But despite many on the outside suggesting he is the top target, I'm not sure that's the case internally - not because someone else is or he won't become that but because there isn't one while Liverpool continue with what will be a thorough process. Clearly Amorim is a wanted man and I definitely expect him to leave Sporting this summer. I hear the Premier League is his preference and we don't know for sure yet but there could well be multiple vacancies, so even if Liverpool do decide to go for him he will also need to decide if they are where he wants to go. Whoever takes Amorim will need to pay Sporting for his services; I've been told the figure this summer is €10m. Others have reported higher but whatever the precise figure it is a lot lower than it was when Chelsea spoke to him before appointing both Potter and then Pochettino. An additional point worth mentioning is that one of Amorim's key staff members is Paulo Barreira, who is an injury prevention / conditioning expert and used to work at Liverpool. If things do develop in the direction of Amorim to Liverpool, Barreira is probably someone to keep an eye on.
  17. Conversations have taken place between Liverpool and Ruben Amorim. He is very much in the frame for the Liverpool job. [@David_Ornstein]
  18. "Bit more on this - the 'luxury tax' proposal is actively being worked on - PL insiders are adamant that should it be introduced an element of sporting sanction (points deductions) would be retained."
  19. We got difficult away to Villa, still have Spurs at home, the Mancs and Bitters away. I think we have a more difficult run in than the cheats
