  1. And most importantly he did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=QmYC4YPkRj8 Hodgson can only dream
  2. I forgot about Moyes to Mancs. I did remember Hughes and Chelsea but assumed that was partly cos he used to play there
  3. well the point was hyperbolic but you get what i'm saying
  4. Yeah it'll be that but that's why I keep referring to his actual achievements. There's bo11ocks all for them to base on being able to tackle Liverpool Football Club. They would never suggest him for Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal. We spent one season outside of that company and what we should be targetting Europa League and nothing else because that is the absolute maximum that this man can do.
  5. What has Hodgson got on these people. What are they basing this perception that he can turn it around on? He's never shown owt.
  6. Yeah I get all of that to be honest.
  7. TBF nb if we won every game from now to the end of the season then the dissenters including myself would go quiet. I'd be happy. I don't like Hodgson and want him gone but it's not a position I could logically hold if he made us good. I like Liverpool winning. If Hodgson made us win then great. Let's be honest if I wanted to I could spin every single press conference and utterance of his positively. I don't as I don't feel anything for the man but the point is that people would barely mention them if we were winning or would be saying stuff like "It's time he let these millionaire footballers like Cole and Johnson know that they aren't performing".
  8. I just assumed it was the expletive
  9. hadn't even thought of it that way.
  10. It feels like everyday with him in charge is a wasted day at Liverpool football club. But everyone outside of the fans says he's a good manager give him time so let's search for some optimism. What are the major differences between Roy's first season and rafa's. Can't say Champ's league as Hodgson isn't in it (because of Benitez last season) and we have made it through in his european involvement. Rafa got to the League cup final and we lead for an age before what looked like chelsea's next big money signing got all confused. Let's see how Hodgson does in the FA cup. He's got the Mancs away (as upsetting as that is apparently to him) as opposed to a Burnley. Maybe we'll just get beat outright although we've got the perfect replacement for Traore in in Konchesky so let's see if he can provide a moment of genius. The away record surely is similarly schit. I remember winning up at Norwich and WBA but I think that was about this time of year. But anyway that Liverpool and this Liverpool must be pretty level pegging in terms of gashness away from home. Home. From memory we started off like a house on fire in 2004 and I remember thinking that the footy was other level schit fom ged's last season. Hodgson's has taken longer to get going at Anfield but looks like we might be there now. So what's the difference. Well you can't genuinely ignore winning the European Cup and all those great nights can you. It kept us going. But I remember not panicking about the league even when we were rubbish and thinking "I'm sure we'll get it right next season". I don't think that now. I think Hodgson's s***! I think it comes down to the pedigree of the respective men before they joined. Rafa had won two La Liga titles and a Uefa cup. Roy got to the final of the Uefa cup last year but has not seemingly done that much aside of real and genuine quality. Are all those experts really basing Roy being good enough for Liverpool based on the job he did at Fulham? Really? F*ck off! When pundits say "Roy will turn it around" I think "Why?". What's there in his career which shows that he has the ability to make this better. He doesn't. I don't like him based on the football that I see him produce not because I loved the previous fella. At the start I was genuinely willing to give him a go and thought that maybe he can produce but the games between the Man City away and Everton away games, I mean that was murder. I thought he was maybe doing the job required in the run which culminated at Chelsea and even the Spurs defeat I thought wasn't bad as we gave it a go but just looking at the whole thing from a distance I don't think he's got it as we will always just lose away from home and will not always win at home. That is his ability level.
  11. He had a cracking season as a teenager and then they brought in duff who wasn't as good and took his place.
  12. never seen the kid play but just as a general point if players like that have 2 good seasons then they immediately become out of our reach. Not saying I want him
  13. Hodgson just gives narratives on all the players. It makes you miss Benitez ho would do it ocassionally but not really that much and talk about the team. I understood the rationale but thought you could do it the other way (ie talk about indiividuals) and it not matter. Hodgson however just seems to blather on about every single player when asked and it just seems damaging.
  14. too easy to draw parallels between us now and arsenal then and rioch and coyle. It's lazy in fact. Too late I've just done it in my mind.
  15. Owen Coyle is the only manager our manager can beat on his own turf.
  16. exactly how I feel. last season was the one io couldn't watch any other footy in
  17. Great post. Didn't even know you knew that many words
  18. I want/ed Rafa here too but wtf is wrong with that?
  19. did well for about 20 v wolves. Think spurs game is slightly overhyped
  20. that bird's fit until you notice her erection
  21. Joking aside. what happened to that player. Looked dynamic and like he wanted to take charge
  22. He's so gone
  23. He's looking pretty poor is Albert. He's done about 6 good things and I'm talking about individual passes or dribbles.
  24. . I'm sorry but Morientes' problems were not due to lack of luck. He tried, he really did try but it was all too quick and powerful for him over here. Garcia scored loads of goals cos he had great instincts for it and from his debut at Bolton away he showed he had the guts to make it over here I'm willing to settle for how that cup campaign turned out
  25. I think he couldn't run fast enough or be strong enough. Nice touches though
