Our game plan for most games involves giving the ball to Suarez and letting him do the magic. If that is the only way we score goals then it is high time we concentrate on consolidating our defense. Our midfield hardly creates anything to start of with. Instead of having a player like Suso on the wings running around losing possession, I would rather have Carra/Coates as an extra defender in the middle. We should probably park the bus and play like we did against Chelsea under Kenny- at least for a while so that we can sort this mess out.

I think Lucas not providing that extra bit of cover to the defense is the problem tbh. Last year, we were doing okay until Lucas got injured and then it went downhill from there. Allen cannot do the job from what I have seen. He doesn't have the physique to play like that- esp in this league. Swansea players were taking turns to dispossess him. Even Barcelona have a proper defensive midfielder to do the job. Moreover, our defense doesn't have a settled back four. One week it is Kelly and Johnson as fullbacks, the next it is Johnson and Wisdom- Enrique and Downing putting in shifts from time to time. Personally, I feel we shouldn't be tinkering so much with the defense.
