Played 6 games since he signed in 2012 apparently - Injury-prone much?!

From a business point of view, I understand what FSG are trying to do. However, they need to understand that it's also equally as bad for business - this isn't a draft or anything else, this is player transfers and you HAVE to act fast if you want to secure the people you want. I feel for Brendan and to be honest, if we carry on doing this would anybody be truly surprised if he moved on due to not having full backing? I know people think we are ok money-wise and we can pretty much spend as much as the others in the top 4 do (aside from City) provided it is justified. But be honest with yourselves, is that not just as bad as having a limited budget like many in the top 10 of the league do? I admit signing Salah wasn't something I saw as necessary due to our CM problems, but the manner in which we're missing out again is making me rage like we've just missed out on signing a top European name - we look like fools and players may start to think that we aren't very serious about them in future as we don't act quickly enough. We could live to regret this as although many have never seen Salah play, a common trend I've noticed on here and elsewhere, many top European clubs clearly rate him and want his services - these being our main competitors in the market and league etc. So he certainly can't be all bad can he? Drop this money ball garbage and get signing! What was once a few short weeks ago in us looking like Top 4 was highly likely, is now looking increasingly UNlikely as everybody around us in the league is strengthening - highlighted further by the loss of Lucas. If we sign so much as one player before the end of the window who will come straight into the squad I will be happy. A DMC preferably, but even if that means spending an extra 5-6 mil on them so f***ing be it. We cannot keep going on this way in our business as it will frustrate us the fans, the players, the manager and other potential signings in the future who may view us as casual passers by with regards to their services.

Brad Guzan looks like Shelvey on Darren Fletcher's steroids.
-
I'd honestly say yes, purely because Coutinho is going backwards and Sterling will blow out at some point if he plays every minute of every game. However, DM is a far greater priority of the two. Made even greater by Lucas and his ever-present plastic knee.

If this game hasn't made BR realise that £10-12 mil is a coup for M'vila then I've no idea what will

GET IN!!! Bit of the old United luck!
-
Utter b******s that, mate - no offence, mind! But with a front 3 such as theirs and you drop Lucas, that's no mistake. He knows what he thought he was doing.
-
Can't really blame them though, can you? Team are giving them nothing, I'd be tearing my hair out if I could scramble out of this armchair of mine...

I understand the fire towards the likes of Cissokho, Toure, Gerrard, Johnson and Couts at the min, but is it down to no body helping each other? Let's not forget we haven't played this formation in months and there was nothing wrong with the one we had in place. Sheer arrogance from Rodgers, this. Blame him before anyone else… However Toure's been s****!
-
Been hacked off with him as of late but Jesus we miss Lucas when he isn't there. Gerrard is clueless in that deeper role as has been very well documented. Coutinho off, Lucas on, press Sterling up and back to 4-3-3. Let's hope that's one of the most important goals we make all season.

Far better wing back than full back, for me. Great player all the same. Curse his plastic body!
-
Yeah I saw that, although I've just read that they preferred M'Vila on loan and Rubin have said no. Perhaps there's hope yet?
-
If it's anything to go by, which it isn't, he's had a fabulous 2 years with me on my current FM save. Should be looking at Nathaniel Clyne too, exploit the s**** out of them.
-
I'm enjoying these a little too much...

Sorry, by that I meant that they seem to be in pole position. Strong twitter rumours saying he could be persuaded though. But still, rumours all the same! Would love him to come but at 29 don't know if he fits the bill. M'vila would be great though, i can't speak about Fernando as I've never seen him play.

Is there any more word on the Inler speculation? Or is it another tabloid wind up because Napoli have all but secured M'Vila?
-
Everything aside his overall confidence just seemed through the roof today. Long may it continue, he had a great game.
-
If you're taking that mind set the norm would also have been to draw against Stoke, lose 2-0 to Villa and get beat today 2-1.
-
Mignolet seems to be a lot more confident today, calling for crosses and high balls. Good to see.

Understandable, but hopefully this will put your mind at ease. Sorry if you've already seen it. -

Don't think Moses will be as prolific as some people are saying he will be but nevertheless, he's better than Downing, is technical, scores and will be a delightful upgrade and helpful addition. Looking forward to this one hopefully pulling off -

Thing is everybody in the top leagues are aware of every situation, it just depends on whether they think a move is feasible. As you know there is no such thing as a free transfer in the true sense of the word, you have the wages, agent fees etc. However, as some clubs have far greater finances than us it seems to me that some clubs may see it feasible to bring them in over us to not only strengthen their units but also so that we can't get them, despite them not being first team regulars, not naming any names there! The only one of that list I'd want is Yarmolenko, scores, strong, technical. I've always had doubts over Eriksen seems like a mediocre fish in a slightly more mediocre pond. Just my thoughts... -
It really is quite astonishing how much Kolo has showed up Agger in two games now. Seems to be a different class, unfortunate that we've only signed him when we have but oh well, such is life. I'm hoping Agger can focus on his concentration levels now he is playing alongside him, may force him to up his game in that sense. I don't mean to undermine Agger, I still think of him highly, but you'd have to be mad to have not noticed this? Toure - Sakho at the back sounds like a nice pairing, but unlikely I know. Are the rumours true that we are supposedly waiting until Jan to sign him for free?
