  1. Wish he'd vanish into thin 'Ayre', f***ing weasel. I'd be looking over my shoulder each time I set foot on the other side of the tunnel if I was him. Remember Randall out of the cartoon, Recess? That's him to a tee. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_luepRlgkhNQ/TIUhj-JojnI/AAAAAAAAATM/edZGc-Yb-JU/s1600/RandallCWeems560x414.jpg
  2. Ha, could be a good move lad, just hope he doesn't start becoming a power junkie he does get hired!
  3. Understandable points, and yes all's we can do is speculate and give our meaningless opinions but I'd give absolutely anything to know what it is exactly they see in Martinez with regards to the amount of other people they can look at. I'm sorry but simply being young, playing passing football and winning 7 of 9 games (coincidently forgetting his appalling record for the rest of the season) does NOT warrant a consideration for the LFC job. But hey, I'm not in charge am I, what do I know? What do any of us know? I mean we only watch the league and witness progression and deterioration of sides on a weekly basis.
  4. True, and has a wealth of experience that can be passed down onto a young manager, if that is indeed the case. However, he's supposedly ruthless, like a Mr. Burns-type! You can tell by his kite! Anyone like that in charge will not result in Rafa being employed in the managerial role, best guess would be AVB. Don't know why, but unlike most others I've got a feeling AVB will get the position over Martinez. Think about the interview from Roberto's side. 'I have, er, won 7 matches of 9. Errr, play pasching football which you like, no?' What more could he possibly elaborate on unless he also adds, 'I'll blow you and offer you paella'? AVB, for all his failings last season, still has a lot of pulling power for players in my opinion. With Van Gaal's guidance, I'm quite looking forward to seeing that. Think the main problem with him though will be the dressing room, which is worrying. He's what, 2/3 years older than Gerrard, 1 than Carra? Will they take orders from a man in their age range? Debatable.
  5. I don't ordinarily support pessimism, but I'm sick and tired of people lying to themselves and forcing themselves to back people who they know full well will be doomed from the off. Martinez, whether he gets the job or not is the WRONG man. People can talk about the point of him 'only being interviewed', but when have candidates been blown up over the news like this when they aren't the main choice? Utter b******s and I've lost a ridiculous amount of faith in FSG for even considering him.
  6. I believe we can utilise Gerrard properly when Lucas comes back. As stated, he's been a lot deeper in the field with Adam since he's been out which IMO is the best thing for us despite our lack of firepower as I don't trust Adam at all in that midfield on his own with our younger players. I'd sooner see Shelvey alongside Gerrard think that could work very well in fact. Suppose though it may leave the back 4 a little open, but using Gerrard wide right in today's game would be outrageous, I think even Kuyt has more pace than him these days. Next season, however, the signing of Gaston Ramirez could add some more quality depth into our midfield options. Need to be looking at wingers though.
  7. Been out the loop for quite some time with work commitments and such and am ashamed to say I haven't been the game in just over two years. Lost my fan card during a spring clean as well! Are they still issuing them or has the whole thing changed now? Cheers.
