Its not as much of a problem if you cover your losses, no, because that means a player has been bought, utilised in the interim and then sold near profit effectively giving the club a free player for that period of time. Youve got to keep in mind that each player is not going to work out - that happens for every manager, so its very harsh to criticise on that front given that his record was no worse than anyone elses.
