N'gog works hard and listens to orders, pretty much all that's needed from him. He's obviously never going to be a viable alternative to Torres, but he's a French U-21 international and does a good enough job. He also seems to have a bit of heart and fight in him, or he seemed to towards the back end of last season anyway, which is good to see. I prefer Degen when he's injured.
