If we get Mourinho and we win the league, you can't get to celebrate it because you didn't want him. *Rants*
-
Now thats depressing, don't lower our own standards just because one manager and owners have lowered them. Disgraceful actually.

The best football is the kind that wins you games. Our football under Houllier wasn't the most attractive especially in the 01-02 season, but it got the job done. I just want us to win the league.
-
Our Captain Smacked DJ in the pub. Rafa bought a winger who was jailed for drink driving, and a striker in Bellamy who did all sorts before he came to us. Now thats not excusing Mourinho for what he did, but we've had/got players who have done some bad stuff as well.
-
Are you comparing Pol Pot a mass murderer and a generally evil human being to an outspoken football manager? lol indeed
-
Well I have never seen us win the league, it's easy for arl gits to turn around and say 'I've seen us done all this and that'. I want us to win the league, Mourinho isn't evil, he isn't horrible, yes he's a bit of a tool, but our captain smacked someone in a bar for not putting his record on so who are we to talk? I understand why people don't like Mourinho, but if there is a 'Liverpool Way' it's about being succesful, we aren't talking about signing Lee Hughes here, or someone who has commited a serious crime, we are talking about someone who is very out spoken, but by the same token succesful as well. He has his methods, and they work. Yes I remember the diving side of Porto, but Gerrard isn't exactly clean himself, neither is Ngog, heck neither was Luis Garcia back in the day. And who is to say he won't change, who is to say he won't show humility? Either way I just want us to win the league and to what end? Well, try me.

This is a pivitol few years in both our clubs history, both on and off the pitch. Rafa is seemingly on his way out, Baconface will only retire when he beats our record, and he's not getting any younger. If United play their cards right, and they do have the better hand then they can get the best young manager going and continue their success. We must do everything in our power to get Mourinho in, and IMO I think like others he would walk here. Infact I'd carry him here, I feel that strongly that if he went to our rivals our chances of dominating football once again would be slim or indeed nil.
-
It will be even sadder when we set our standards so low that we end up winning nothing and people accept it. Yes Mourinho is a pleb, he's crazy, he's abusive, he's mental but he's successful.
-
You would if he ended up being more succesful than us with United, and you can quote me on that. Anyway, it's my opinion that if Mourinho goes to United he will continue the work Baconface has done at United. I am a big fan of Mourinho and his arrogance, comments are his asset rather than a downfall, he will thrive at United and will continue to attract big name players. Despite everyones opinion about him, he maybe one of the few managers that could tempt Torres and Gerrard to stay if this season gets any worse, thats not to say they will leave anyway, I just think if we sack Rafa and get Mourinho in it's not going to force a mutiny with the squad. He already said before Chelsea he prefers us over them, and it would be a massive boost to his ego to be the man that replaced Rafa and won us the league. Honestly, IMO in the long term there is no better manager available. Fair enough if you don't care what our rivals do, well neither do I. But in terms of making a managerial appointment which will only continue their domination of English football, then to say you would not care would be pushing it. So you wouldn't care if Mourinho came in in the summer, he won the league and we finished 5th with Rafa? Would you not care that in a few years from now we would still be trophyless whilst the one egotistical manaic of a manager is winning everything left right and centre. As I said, you can quote me on this if we don't get Mourinho in AND he goes to the Mancs you can forget about winning the league whilst he is still around, and if that happens and you still don't care, then I would envy you.
-
be careful what you wish for!
-
well I do because he will dominate English football for years if he went there. Whilst us on the other hand will be chatting bubbles about him not being the 'Liverpool Way' whilst we go 25 odd years without winning a thing. Bring Jose in now
-
If mourinho doesn't come here he will go the mancs, now who wants that?
-
He should have the job even if we finish fourth. Anyway, hopefully he goes soon so we can move forward once more. Be ace if we can get new investment in and Mourinho.

Sky Italia Imminent?

Net Spend - Liverpool vs the other 4th place challengers
Mr. Biscan replied to Philby's topic in Liverpool FC
Because I think he would do a better job than Rafa. -
I'm sorry you know what Kenny is thinking, or wanting. And yes I am well aware of what happened, but thats not to say people change, I mean he clearly must have some hunger if he is doing some work at the club. Who knows whether he would turn it down if asked? And correct me if I am wrong, but I recall Kenny being disappointed he wasn't asked to manage us again a while back... Anyway, the same suggestion has been made elsewhere, ask them for a bit.

Net Spend - Liverpool vs the other 4th place challengers
Mr. Biscan replied to Philby's topic in Liverpool FC
So Net Spend is an excuse for Rafa with all his great players, but not for Moyes who has worked on less money and has half decent players. And I know you can ask the same about me, but then I expect more from a Liverpool manager. -
Well fair enough about Carra. But do you honestly think Kenny has forgotten everything he learned both as a player, successful manager and watching football himself?
-
I'll never change my mind that he can win the league until he actually does it, as for turning it around I'm not quite sure. I just don't think IMO If you think someone can't take you where you want to be then there is no point in carrying on, and there is no point in carrying on when at the moment he is no where near where you want to be, especially after the season we just had. We lack passion, we lack desire and we lack new ideas. We lack something different, a new approach. Carra would offer us that, if he fails and we don't make the UEFA Cup. So what, it was only short term? As it is with any manager, had Benitez went on to be a massive disaster after two seasons would the decision to have sacked Houllier been wrong? No, it's the replacement we would have got all wrong. It's a case of anyone will do, and anyone who actually wants the job and can offer something different. Maybe I'm looking for our own Pep Guardiola, without the blag coat.

Mr. Biscan replied to Philby's topic in Liverpool FC
I see what you did there. -
I'd just want Carra to carry us forward doing the very best he can until the summer, thats all I can ask. This season now if we sack Rafa will be about consolidating. Oh and I wanted him sacked in January, changed my mind and I've wanted him gone now since November.
-
I didn't want him sacked in the summer A serious replacement, is a replacement
-
I mentioned this quickly before, I think if we can consilidate this season be it with Hiddink, Carra, Traore, Igor Biscan, King Kenny. We can push forward next, thats not to say I expect us to go on some mad winning streak winning all in sight should we replace Rafa immediately, or though I would anticipate a good run of results pretty much from the off. Honestly, people talk about having interaction with players, knowing the club, knowing their football. I honestly think from now in Carra and Kenny would be the ideal scenario for us at least until the summer. We need to consolidate now, not hold onto hope that Rafa will turn this around. I know I don't think Rafa will win us the league, but I honestly thought he could turn this around. Now it's clear IMO He won't, so surely he has to go now, surely there is nothing he can do now for Liverpool Football Club. I would love it beyond belief if Carra was our manager, love it, love it, love it.

Why couldn't we beat them oh I forgot, we have a low net spend. *Shakes fist*
