Well I'm planning on taking the "Ah well, still just the five times then" approach!

 

Istanbul was magical, and in a way I'm glad it's set apart on its own. If the board find Rafa the £30m he wants and we keep him at the club for the next five years then the future still looks very rosey. Nice to hear the crowd singing his name at the end (and Gary Macca's).

It was great to hear YNWA sung at the end. Me and a mate stood and sang it in a packed pub.

 

Last night was f***ing horrible but we've had bad nights before and we'll have bad nights again. That's not too belittle its significance as something needs to be done about the striking situation but it will happen.

 

We've come along way in two years. Last night might seem like a step backwards but there's a lot to look forward to.

I really dont know why but in a way I feel a sense of relief. We are the Champions of Europe, we won it the hard way but this season its been as though we had to live up to it and more.

 

Now we can get on with the league and the FA Cup, dont get me wrong I am massively dissapointed but it also feels as tho a weight has been lifted off our shoulders.

negative, we are still the reigning champions until the final has been played. by that time maybe we'll have put a winning streak together and seccured 2nd place in the league...

 

as for last night, I was pretty upset about going out so early, not just because of that but to a team that were pretty lucky , still... luck was on our side last season, it was against us this season... if luck wasnt involved at all then we'd probably have made it to the semis or there abouts in both seasons ... im happy enough being the reigning champs...

 

anyway , on we go....

 

summer clear out much? get rid of all the strikers, well except fowler maybe, unlucky man not to have a goal.
