i've just moved to t-mobile, from 3 and so far, so good. nice to have uk-based call centre staff too, who actually sound like they give a f***.

3's call centre is a bloody nightmare, isn't it?

I think they're trained to keep you on the line for as long as possible so they make as much money out of the call as they can.

i think they're also trained to know as little as possible about the network and how customer services should work

My mobile broke a couple of times and you'd ring and they'd ask what was wrong with it and you'd say it doesn't work, it won't even power up. They'd respond to that with, "Yes, but what exactly is wrong with it?".

I totally lost it with one of them once and I hardly ever lose my rag.

not to mention the old routine of the staff having 'english' names... as if their accents and the slight time delay in the conversation aren't enough to give the game away.

i've nothing against foreign call centre staff (as individuals), but i think it says a lot for how companies value their customers when they use tactics like that to try and gloss over shoddy service.
