Vaughan has hardly got out of double figures for about 2 years apart from his hundred against Australia at Old Trafford.

 

We'll miss his captaincy, but not his batting which has suffered badly since he took over as captain - he was at one stage probably the best in the world.

 

Jones and Trescothick will be big losses, but I rate both Cook and Shah as really good young(ish) players, both have all the shots.

 

It'll be a baptism of fire, but both are better than Bell in my opinion and could prove good enough to make the grade...
