went to a dinner / poker party last weekend

Had a great night and at one point when we got all nostalgic the conversation turned to Joey Deacon.

 

One of my mates was surprised that he had died. When probed about his shock he admitted that he thought that during his 80's hey day, that Joey Deacon was approaching 40.

 

WTF!!!!!!

 

cue lots of 'derrr' and wrist slapping.

 

This is the same mate mind you that 18 months after my nan died from a long struggle with alzheimers came round to my house and upon seeing a pic on top of my tv said 'how's yer Nan mate' to which I replied 'She died well over a year ago mate'.

 

His reply?

 

'Ahhhhh, yer Nan'

 

guess you had to be there but as sad as it is it was as funny as f***. daft c***
