Change of image late in middle age

Yep: after drawing my own attention to the pink shirts the BIL gave me (his company supplies River Island etc) in another thread, I finally succumbed during the Chinese New Year to wearing one.

 

Discovered three interesting things:

 

a) the material is very comfortable - truly a nice shirt;

 

b) I was complimented by a someone whose opinion I rate in most things: greatly complimented as to my appearance in fact;

 

c) I have since realised that it is not pink but a mixture of red and white threads which makes a very significant difference.

 

Worn it twice now and it seems to fit better each time.

 

Does this mean that my whole system of values will crumble?
