Wycombe's Philo dies after crash

Wycombe Wanderers' 21-year-old midfielder Mark Philo has been killed in a car accident.

Philo, who made 17 appearances for the Chairboys since joining as a trainee, was involved in a crash in Reading early on Saturday.

 

Manager John Gorman did not tell his players about the accident until after their 2-0 win over Notts County.

 

He said: "He was a fantastic kid. He lived for football and always had a smile on his face."
