TXT Speak in e-mails

Text messages are hard to understand at the best of times, but that seems the way these days, but why on e-mail do I get subjected to this crap - notably questions raised on ebay.

 

Where do u liv? Wot is ur reserve? etc.

 

Is it not possible to type the full question with a keyboard?

It just gives the impression that they are lazy feckers and more likely to screw things up!
