Wow just saw the state off the Burton pitch on SSN - what a state! They have spent £25k the past few weeks digging a load of stones into the pitch to improve drainage - the result is there is barely a blade of grass on the thing! That coupled with coarse sand over the top means Man Usa could be in for a very unforfortable game on Sunday in more ways than one!

Some bad injuries would be likely. Imagine sliding in on that pitch, it's more like a beach than a pitch.

My Mum said something about there being a rule whereby if you switch grounds you only get the gate money you'd have got if you play it at home.

 

She says she heard it on local radio (I live near Burton), so not sure how true it is!
