I didn't ring home for ten days in Crete in 2001.. Had everyone spooked... When I did, I asked to be rung back on my mobile... Thing is my mobile was left on a shelf in my room... (Which I knew...) I was so out of it drunk, and never recalled the conversation..

 

Just trying to lighten the mood..

 

Hope he turns up Spike.

One of my mates asked to be taken by taxi cab to "El Dorado" apartments... In Crete!

It was Villa Esperidas...

when this happened to a mate of mine he ended up in the British Embassy (this was in Prague like) - it was the only place he could get to a phone (he'd lost his money and didn't know where the hotel was etc) and get in touch with his chick to call my chick to call me - unfortunately i'd left my phone in the hotel room so he was out lost for near 2 days before he managed to get in touch with us via a friend of a friend of a friend.. funny story now when we recall it but obviously worrying at the time! hopefully it's only something like this for you.. take care when you get out there buddy - as i said earlier, hope all's ok!

I think you will get there and find your very shame-faced brother!

 

It's true what people here say about not calling home from holiday. I've done it, thought nothing of going a few days without a call, then calling and getting a very irate parent on the other end of the line giving me hell for not calling for ages :D

well, just about to set off for london to stay with my brother Tony's father in law.
