Royal Ascot Day Three

Strange market for that opener.

He swerved the Coventry with it, suggests to me they lack confidence. It cost a lot, maybe the Coolmore hype machine in operation.

5.35... Is this a horse or a very late disclaimer?

:)

Both.

Aye and they've only won this once, unlike the Coventry.

But the second fav / our pick looks solid as a rock and is very backable each way.

2.30 Norfolk Stakes

Mukhmal's form ties in nicely with others who have performed well here earlier in the week. Typically genuine type from Johnston.

3.05 Tercentenary Stakes

Mutakayyef has a chance of notching another one for his sire Sea The Stars. I think there was sufficient interference from Barley Mow to intimidate him when they met at Newmarket.

3.45 Ribblesdale Stakes

Gonna take the favourite on as i'm not sure she'll like this quick ground. Spencer gave Inchila another classic ride at Epsom in the Oaks

Steadied and dropped in behind after start, held up in rear, 14th straight, switched left and headway over 2f out, 4th and staying on when not clear run and switched left 1f out, kept on, no chance with winner
but she looks good for a place at least. That form possibly the best on offer,

4.25 Gold Cup

Estimate each way - proven she stays in a race where very few have raced anywhere close to this distance before.

5.00 Britannia Stakes

Mindurownbusiness has a low weight and is potentially well in. Also has a nice draw and is ridden prominently. Liked the look of his win last time out.

5.35 KGV Stakes

Zee Zeely is my each way bet of the day. Nice horse who will appreciate this step up in trip and will love the ground.

2.30

1. Baitha Alga 8/1

2. Mind of Madness 14/1

3. Ahlan Emerati 25/1

Great result for bookies. Not impressed by Hanagan's ride on my thing. Sent it off at a ridiculous pace. And the O'Brien thing found nothing - his stable is in dire form, maybe Leading Light will pull him out of it...

Jockeys can f*** off. Some seriously stupid rides today. Cannock Chase probably the better horse but had first run on Mutakayyef. Similar scenario on Estimate with Leading Light having first run. And Jamie Spencer - never again. The horse probably broke down in frustration.

Got just shy of £890 back on my treble though ( more than i thought i'd get )

Had i listened to the shop staff i'd have never seen it but the offices admitted there was nothing wrong with the bet, just a problem with translating it with the current software.
