TV shows (but not GoT)

Recommended Posts

Just started series 3 on Fringe, best thing Ive ever watched, never thought I'd find myself being so interested in Physics! Again though half way through I found myself thinking stop fannying around with experiments, we've seen enough, just tell me more about Massive Dynamic, The Universes and Pattern etc!!!

And yep I agree with the long drawn out series things... FlashForward was the first thing I ever watched out of these american shows etc and it could have been so much better if it was 12 episodes a season. Half of it was useless. Then we had the mid season 4 month break which I find even more bizarre as its hard to remember what happened and build the momentum up again. No idea why these Networks do this. Then I watched V season 1 which was 12 episodes which was perfect!

there's way too much choice over here. we now have 2 DVR's to keep up with things.

the netwaorks over here love to leave things hanging in a show over the winter break and the summer break. luckliy, we have some really good shows on cable channels that kick in when the networks start their repeats.

Burn Notice started up again last week.

tonight's Lie To Me was very good.

his use of some of some good old Anglo Saxon swear words had me and the missus in stitches.

not sure how many Yanks will get "sweet FA" and his use of "w*****" or "sod off" on a regular basis may cause some issues as well.

Theres a rumour that The Event might get canned sometime next year, turning into a bit of a turkey from what Ive read.

that's what THEY want you to think

season 4, I think.

USA seem to have it as episode 13, season 4

Cool. I know that they had said that at least another 2 series would be made.

Good show.

Amen .. although 6 episodes in the first season is a little bit mean, I hear there's twice as many lined up for the second.

I don't think they wanted to overcomit to the series - especially with a few zombie movies out recently. However given the reviews and ratings its achieved they jumped right back in for another 13 (of course) episodes!

It will probably have to develop a few of its own storylines outside of the novels now so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.

Very good so far.

It's boring, and I've had enough of that bloody couple. I don't care what happens to any of the characters, so we've binned it from the Sky+

And 'The Walking Dead' is f'ing brilliant.

Whereas this is still great - characters and story are more interesting, and it's got freaking zombies in it!!!

Andy, you would hate Mad Men. please don't ever watch it.

I was about to reply with a sensible comment to that list about the underrating of Sopranos but your post made me realise who the poster was.

Thanks for saving me some time and effort.

Andy, Mad Men would be your worst nightmare. Nothing happens in it, it's just like your favourite film ...

I'm up to Episode three (Guts) and it is excellent. Be interesting to see where they go with it as well. Your average Zombie Film (Or series) really can't touch past the immediate

1. It happens

2. You escape from your immediate situation

3. You formulate a plan

4. You attempt to implement the plan

5. You succeed or Fail

I'm looking forward to the reintigration of society and order and extra situations of characters and potential that could come out of that. Looking at the series, it doesn't look like it'll ever get as dark as 'The Road', but there are so many 'What would/could happen if.." scenerios that films just don't get a chance to explore given the limited time available to them.

Nice to see a few little nods to previous films here and there and I'm sure that'll continue.

Walking dead is great because its funny.

Its like a cringe type of laughter, but it doesn't feel cheap at the same time.

Plus, you know, its got zombies in it.
