What has Martin Atkinson got against Torres?

If I was an opposition manager, and I saw that Aktinson was the ref, I would tell my team to deal with Torres by kicking him up and down the pitch, knowing they would get away with it.

 

I know Torres' whinging does him no favours, but it is surely more than that?

Not Torres just us in general. We have had him 6 times this season which is an unusually high number with 6 weeks still to go. The only win under him was the derby. And even then he made things hard for us by sending off Krygiakos. He definately has an anti-Liverpool bias in my opinion.

I've often wondered if it goes back to Gerrard and Carragher making tool of him on TV. When he was giving an interview as to why he called off the CC game against Arsenal at Anfield, despite both managers saying they should play. He was basically saying you couldn't see one side of the pitch from the other, JC and Gerrard were warming down at the other side of the pitch and clearly taking pot shots at him, as if to say 'well we can manage it'
