PES 2001 - the most frustrating game i've ever played.

I'll start by saying I play it on top-player and I evetually win the master league with Liverpool every season, so it's not that i'm s*** at it...

 

But I have been convinced over the last few years that in master league mode the game decides that there are some games you just won't win. I did a little experiment where i replayed a lost game 6 times, each time I had a man sent off for a challenge that I didn't put in and each time the opposition scored from an own goal.

 

And how can Tom f***in Huddleston catch Torres in a race from the half way line when I can't keep up with any of the opposition players in a race?

 

I've never managed to win a 50-50 and even if I get a toe on the ball it bounces every time to the opposition.

 

Three seasons in and I've not had or conceded a penalty yet.

 

To be fair, excepting all of the above the game is the most realistic version of a football sim I ever played, the tempo of the game is brilliant and only the very top players can do the extraordinary things like dribbling from inside their own half to score.
