and women!!

6.30 am and Rusty, our morning show weather guru, informs us that we will have sprinkles for the next hour or so and then things will clear up for the trip to school and drive to work.

7.00 am and my 11 yo is stood outside waiting for his bus in a torrential downpour, rivers of water heading down the driveway towards the street.

7.06 am and Rusty is back with an update. the showers are diminishing and we should be dry by 8.30 am at the latest.

8.00 am and my 8 yo and i are ready to take the dog for his morning walk, not a chance as we have still have torrential rain and the odd rumble of thunder.

8.06 and here somes Rusty to tell us that things are brightening up and we'll be out of this by 8.30am.

8.20 am and I head off to take the 8yo to school, still pouring with rain.

8.40 am and I am heading home but my route is blocked because Police have closed a major route due to flooding and clogged up drains.

I get home after a detour to see Rusty back on TV telling us about the unexpected storm that blew in , apparently from nowhere, and is causing havoc in some parts of the viewing area. There is also a message from my wife telling me to avoid the Expressway as it took her 55 minutes to get to work instead of the usual 15-20, due to the unexpected rain.

I want Rusty's job, I want to f*** things up on a regular basis, give people ridiculous information and still get paid a decent wage.
