I just started watching this BBC program about David Lloyd George, presented by newsreader Huw Edwards: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northwest/sites...oydgeorge.shtml

I was pretty surprised to hear him say this:

"And yet if you mention his name today - even in parts of Wales - you risk an unpleasant response because the Welsh Wizard with the colourful private life has been reduced in the eyes of many people to the level of a smutty joke. And I have to say, I find that a grotesque injustice."

Personally I've never heard of such a thing - only ever heard of Lloyd George talked about with either reverence or non-recignition ("who?").

Has anyone else heard this bad wording of Lloyd George?
