Crap Actors Giving Great Performances in Movies

Pierce Brosnan is a truly terrible actor, and Rene Russo is not much better, but they are great in The Thomas Crown Affair. They made their version a far better movie than the original. I'm trying to think of others movies where really crap actors either give brilliant performances or have made great films. Kevin Costner is excellent in Field of Dreams and Bull Durham and Ben Affleck is very good in Boiler Room. Other than those?
