(quick translation follows)

The footballer Javier Florez, of Atletico Junior, who have just lost the play off for the Colombian championship, is in police custody. He is accused of having shot dead a 17 year old supporter in a restaurant after the match, when the youth entered calling him a homosexual.

The player reacted, shooting him twice, before running away. Other diners destroyed the player's car, which was left outside the restuarant. Allegedly, drugs were found in the car. The 27 year old player had been in the team that lost the play-off to Once Caldas 3-1.
