Summer holidays

I've been tasked with organising a summer 2 week holiday for my family - parents and brother and sister. It's our annual get-together for pool-lying, book reading, dinners and drinks each night. The past few years we've gone to southern Spain - but I'm wondering where else might be nice.

 

Not interested in the Canaries, Bulgaria or Turkey.

 

I'm wondering about Florida without the airport ordeal...

 

What's it like for a regular 2 week summer (no kids) holiday?
