Buying a new computer

I'm looking at getting a new computer for home, one of the big kind not a laptop, but I have no idea where to start.

 

I'm looking at a budget of £500 and want something that performs well and also looks nice (slightly gay I know but I won't let it adopt don't worry).

 

I guess it would come with some standard programmes uploaded, yea? Otherwise I'd want to knock some off the price.

 

Any suggestions?
