Democrats and Republican leaders agree on the essentials of the USD 700bln bail out package. House of Representatives to vote on but Nancy Pelosi decides to take a pop shot at Bush before the vote and instead of the Republicans fielding a vote where 75 voters approve the plan, only 65 did and that is what is seen as sinking the vote.
