Surprised no one's mentioned this - they're announced in about 40 mins, bringing to an end 6 months of fear and posturing from the clubs - it's reduced the sport, yet again, to a slanging match between club officials and supporters.

 

My own team (Widnes) are one of the clubs vying for the last 2 places as no one expects an existing team to be booted out (although Wakefield have every right to be nervous) so the front runners for the spots are us, Salford, and Celtic Crusaders. If Celtic get in, it will show just how corrupt the RFL is - they meet very few of the criteria set by the 'independent' panel have no stadium, no real youth development scheme, much of a fanbase and will rely, as London have, on recruiting Australian players.

 

Fingers crossed common sense prevails but I'm not getting my hopes up.
