Parcel force and Royal Mail

Right to cut a long story short, I'm getting Grand Theft Auto delivered for Free, but what I want to to know is how does it work...

I am getting the special edition so it should come in a rather big parcel and it's worth around £50

So will I be getting it delivered by Royal Mail OR Parcel Force AND if it was dispatched Friday Afternoon will I get it tommorow?

Thanks in advance :)

Wasn't it worth £70 on RAWK?

And depends how they've sent it. 1st class / 2nd class / special delivery / 24hr parcel force etc etc

Oh aye Yeah...

I chose the free delivery option which is two buisness days, but because it's a big package it would be taken by Parcel Force surely?

Stores normally use couriers. So who knows what they use. Could be any of a 100.

If they are stupid enough to use Parcel Force, then it depends if they send it out 24 hour, or 48 hour delivery.

Bigger parcels can be sent by normal post though, as 'Standard Parcels' rate, which takes 3 or 4 days.

they'll try to deliver when you're not in; then they won't come back the next day as they say they will; then you'll ask them to send it to a Post Office; then the Post Office won't receive it; then you'll call Parcel Force and they'll have no record of your parcel since the first attempted delivery; then they'll say they'll look for your parcel and call you back; then they won't call you back; then you'll call them back and they'll say they have no record of your parcel since the first attempted delivery; then you'll say you know that, but what the f*** are they doing about it?; then they'll say they actually have the parcel right in front of them, and will try to deliver it next week; then you'll say b******s to that, I'll pick it up; then you'll go to the depot and they'll look for it for 20 mins before you finally get it.

that's what's just happened to me, anyway

Also bear in mind that Royal Mail are absolutely inept so dont be surprised if it isnt here next Monday.

I'll go along with that. I had a parcel sent to me from Bolton to the Home Counties. It took 14 days and went through four sorting offices. Apparently that is usual.....
