Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Live Earth types

Bass player Ira Trevisan has quit Brazilian electro-rock outfit CSS because of her concerns about air travel and climate change.

The band has spent much of the last two years on tour, and Ms Trevisan said she wanted to "fly less" and dedicate more time to her other passion - fashion.

She said: "I am a bit worried about climate change. People should care more and do something about it."

Drummer Adriano, the only male in the group, will now take up bass duties.

Ira said in a statement: "I decided to move forward and dedicate more of my time to fashion and other projects. Just a big change of priorities, as I will never stop playing music.

"CSS will always be in my heart. They said goodbye to their bass player, but they won a new lifetime fan. In health and sickness, in happiness and so forth. Blah blah blah, so help us God."

A session drummer is set to be drafted in for their live shows.

CSS are currently working on a second album which is due to be released in the UK in July
