Wireless PC to TV Link?

Is there such a thing as a device that lets you play a DVD, video or audio file on a PC and have this shown (with sound and pictures) on a nearby TV, without physically connecting the PC to the TV? I would assume this would involve some kind of wireless receiver being plugged into the TV's scart socket or similar.

 

Ever heard of such a thing?
