Malcolm McDowell made my day today as I had no idea he was one of ours. I've admired his films for years, first through Clockwork Orange which I was able to see a pirate copy of when it was still banned, through the bizarreness of Caligula to the masterpieces of 'If' and 'Oh lucky man'.

He's a great actor, of that there's no doubt. What I didn't know until today is that he's a Liverpool fan and used to go regularly with his dad to Anfield when he was a boy. He said this on BBC 5live radio today when asked if he missed Britain. He said no, that he can get PG tips and watches all Liverpool games in L.A.
