Rafa - the best thing to happen to LFC

I think all those calling for Rafa to get sacked are really sad. Actually, I think you are all complete tossers.

The man is one of the best managers in the world.

He has a long term plan to make LFC back into the powerhouse it used to be.

He has funds and has still not completed his team line up.

The new owners fully back him and the fact we have Rafa was one of the reasons they got involved.

None of the team (except possibly Crouch) have a problem with his system.

I, like many others, do not enjoy our games at the moment but our current form is just a glitch. Things will definitely improve.

As most of you keep saying, the players are not performing but we are not losing premiership games and we are still up there with the front runners. The season is only a quarter old.

Looking at the bigger picture, I can actually see we are turning a corner and longer term, I am extremely optimistic.

I just hope you tossers and the media vilification do not drive him out.

Good on you for posting that and I agree. Given the time Rafa will build an awesome team. We are being tested at the moment but it will soon turn around.

People said that of GH, and to be honest he was the best Liverpool manager not from the boot house

The problem with Rafa is he seeks first to nullify the opposition, wait for mistakes then score -- this league needs teams that can force the opposition into making mistakes, then score. The teams that do the latter well normally win the league. Right now Arsenal and Man U are well ahead of us in that dept

The hysterical nature of some of the criticism is deeply tedious, but so are the shocked and offended responses to it.

I back him and that's all that matters

Don't you be introducing sense and reason into all of this....

Glad to see, that some of you agree, especially as all we have been getting on this forum recently is negativity followed by knee jerk reactions.

Did not mention it in the original post but if you want to get a glimpse of our future, try taking a look at the talent we have in our reserves and academy.

I sometimes wonder if some of the so called supporters posting on here are really just Manc t***s trying to wind us up.

I am still behind him because there are not many better managers about and If we sack Rafa, it could make things worse.

The difference this season is the faith aspect, I used to have lots of belief that Rafa will win us the league at some stage. This season I am not so sure he ever will. He has had 3 seasons and a lot of money and we are no closer.

To be fair to the whingers though, most of their moaning isn't knee jerking, we've been s*** since the Derby game, a lot of their criticism is based on the season so far, rather than just a typical knee jerk reaction "We've lost, Sack Rafa!" and some of their criticism is justified.

They're completely and utterly wrong (Or complete f***wits) if they think we'll win the league by changing manager though. Whoever comes in is going to want to do it their own way, so there'll be a few seasons of "rebuilding" to be done. Say two seasons, then if the new man doesn't win the league in his third season, the whingers will want him out a few months into his fourth season. It's a vicious cycle, known as Newcastle United syndrome.

I'm not blind to some of the areas where Rafa has made a balls of things lately. The areas where I'd criticize Rafa are: rotating for the sake of it; failure to buy another centre back; too much support for Kuyt.

However, we are going through a difficult run of games and remain unbeaten. Agger, Alonso and Torres (good spine of any team) have all been missing.

We are just six points behind Arsenal, and if we win our game in hand, just three points behind United. And we have yet to hit form. And we will hit form, hopefully as soon as the three players mentioned above return.

The middle ground of the hyperbolic curve is getting ever smaller.

to be honest, there have been very few if any "Sack Rafa" posts. my whinging is basically down to team selection, rotation, and style of play. if Rafa can get it right, then we are onto a winner big time. but its frustrating watching players perform consistantly below the level they have shown they can play at, and its frustrating not watching a settled side go on a good run. i dont want to see Rafa sacked, i dont think there is anyone out there who i would rather have at the minute. that opinion may change as teh season goes on, but at the minute, at the games. i'm 100% behind the manager and the players. all my moaning is done in here, and not at the game. i know i'm riling a few people with my moaning, but like wise i'm baffled by those who come on here pontificating about suport and pretending nothing is wrong at the minute, when it quite clearly is not clicking.
