I went to see Brian Wilson at the RFH on Monday night - he was a bit more doddery than when I saw him do Smile back in 2004, but the songs were utterly glorious and it was a good night. Even his new piece (That Lucky Old Sun) was OK

 

Tonight it's another nostalgia-fest - off to Koko to see The House Of Love perform their debut album from back in the late 80s, and hopefully a few other classics from the time. Should be interesting. I saw them supporting The Dears two years ago and they were a bit duff, but then they were playing a fair bit of new stuff then. Hopefully they'll be more like what they were back in the day...

 

Then Amsterdam at Carling Academy in Liverpool on Satdee night Supported by Rain who have reformed after 15 years apart
