History lessons in schools

Caught an item on the news this morning about how poor the teaching of history is in schools these days. According to Ofsted, there's no consistent syllabus, things no real chronology and it's pretty much a mess.

Apparently, children are even being taught about Henry VIII and his six wives without learning about the religious upheaval of the times.

How the f*** do you manage to teach about his two divorces without bringing religion in to it????

Isn't that like teaching the story of Noah without mentioning Morgan Freeman?
