Computer Headset/Microphones

One of my friends is moving to France in a few weeks, and in order to save on phonebills from calling each other, she suggested I dowload Skype and get myself a headset/microphone and then let the Internet do all the hard work.

 

Sounds logical to me.

 

Do any of the technological minded folks on here have any suggestions on a decent headset?
