Buying Furniture/Sofas

Gonna be doing the whole moving house malarky soon, which means I'm going to need to get a couple of new sofas and a large dining table/set of chairs.

 

Anyone got any recommendations that are a step above the usual DFS/Furniture Village stuff? Don't mind spending a bit more if it's value-for-money and going to last a bit longer, but don't want to spend money for the sake of it.

 

EDIT: Moving to the York area if that's of any consequence.
