I've been invaded

My laptop appears to have been invaded.

 

My homepage has set to thesafetynotes.com and the usual way of resetting it doesn't appear to work. Also I have two annoying icons in the toolbar which keep alerting me to possible security issues and all I have to do is click on them to purchase software to protect myself against these supposed security threats. All appears to be linked to something called "Spylocked".

 

Anyone got any (preferably free and easy) ideas on how to get rid of this sh*te? I've uninstalled what appeared to be the offending program but I still seem to be getting the alert popups and have the homepage problem.

 

Any help would be great.

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously the hammer and java routes have been exhausted.
